David Rozenhal has completed his move to Hamburg SV from Italian side Lazio, the German club announced on Wednesday.
The Czech international defender has penned a three-year deal with Bruno Labbadia's side.
"We are pleased that we were able to complete the transfer," Coach Labbadia told Hamburg's official website.
"Rozenhal fits perfectly into our side. He is very fast and his international experience will benefit us."
The 29-year-old, who also played for Paris Saint-Germain and Newcastle, is relishing the new challenge.
"Hamburg is a big club with great infrastructure and conditions. The level at the Bundesliga is extremely high and it is always my aim to play high level football," he said.
