Egyptian defender Amir Azmi is satisfied at his first appearance with new club Diyarbakirspor in the Turkish Super Lig.
Azmi played most of the 2-2 draw with Ankaragucu on Saturday, along with compatriot Ayman Abdul-Aziz, who is on loan from Zamalek.
"I am very happy with the coach's (Ziya Dogan) confidence in me. He gave me a starting role even though I have just joined the team," Azmi told FilGoal.com.
"I had a good game against Ankaragucu. They scored from two set pieces, so our defense was fine during the game."
Azmi and Abdul-Aziz will visit Trabzonspor in the second round of the Turkish league next week.
