Bayern turned down the Spanish champions' enticing bid, and Ribery is now willing to regain top form to spend another splendid season at Allianz Arena.

"I'm now allowed to play," the 26-year-old was quoted by Bild as saying. "I want to go ahead and be fit."

Ribery featured for his country in Wednesday's World Cup qualifier against Faroe Islands, which France won 1-0.
