He scored his second of the night on 68 minutes when he converted a penalty after full-back Daniel Alves was felled in the area.

Bojan Krkic completed the rout four minutes later when he intercepted a poor back pass from Ander Iturraspe, rounded the keeper and slotted into an empty net.

Barcelona will have a chance to win another trophy before the season starts when they meet UEFA Cup winners Shakhtar Donetsk of Ukraine in the European Super Cup in Monaco on Friday.

They will begin the defense of the Primera Liga title against Sporting Gijon on August 31st.
