Saadane names 14 foreign-based players for Zambia tie

Algeria boss Rabah Saadane named 14 foreign-based players in the provisional squad for the Desert Foxes' World Cup qualifier against Zambia on September 6th.

Saadane didn't make much of changes to the squad that registered a 1-0 win over Uruguay in a warm-up on August 12th.

Wolfsburg midfielder Karim Ziani and Portsmouth defender Nadir Belhadj are perceived to be the most prominent in the list.

Algeria are topping Group C in of qualifying stage with seven points, three ahead of Egypt.

Zambia, who will be hosted in next month's qualifier, are third on four points either.

Algeria's squad:

Goalkeepers: Lounes Gaouaoui - Faouzi Shaoushi - Mohamed Ousserir.

Defenders: Slimane Raho - Abdelkader Laifaoui - Anthar Yahia - Madjid Bougherra - Rafik Halliche - Mohamed Meftah - Samir Zaoui - Reda Babouche.

Midfielders: Karim Ziani - Yazid Mansouri - Sherif Abdeslam - Yassine Bezzaz - Nadir Belhadj - Khaled Lemmoushia - Hussein Achiou - Mourad Meghni.

Strikers: Kamel Ghilas - Rafik Saifi - Karim Matmour - Abdelkader Ghezzal - Rafik Djebbour - Hameur Bouazza.
