AC Milan president Silvio Berlusconi has publicly criticized coach Leonardo's tactical decisions during the team's humiliating 4-0 derby defeat to Inter.

The Rossoneri, who opened their campaign with a 2-1 victory over Siena, were outclassed by arch-rivals Inter in their second Serie A game.

Berlusconi wanted Dutch midfielder Clarence Seedorf to start the game behind strike duo Alexandre Pato and Ronaldinho.

However, Ronaldinho was the one who played as a playmaker, with Marco Borriello partnering Pato upfront.

"I have in mind a precise tactical error I had advised was a mistake we should not make," Italian prime minister Berlusconi was quoted as saying by Football Italia.

Berlusconi is well known for his notorious remarks about the tactical decisions of Milan managers.

He criticized former coach Carlo Ancelotti on several occasions during the latter's eight-year spell in charge of the team.

"People accuse me of dictating the line-up. I would love to, but there is a Coach and it's only right he does his job," Berlusconi added.
