The Catalans said on their official site that Alves has completed recovery from a thigh injury and is set to feature in Russia.

Alves picked up the injury in the first leg a fortnight ago, when El Tricampeon were stunned 2-1 at Nou Camp by Rubin.

Barca are currently top in the tight Group F, leveling on four points with Dinamo Kiev and Rubin, and leading Inter Milan by just one point.
