Barcelona grabbed the summit of Group F in the UEFA Champions League with an easy 2-0 victory over guests Inter Milan on Tuesday night.

Gerard Pique and Pedro scored the title holders' goals in the first-half after laying siege to Inter areas.

Surprise package Rubin Kazan, who were leading the group till before matchday four, were held to a goalless draw by Dinamo Kiev earlier on the same day.

Josep Guardiola's side now have eight points, two ahead of Inter and Rubin who both have six points.

Dinamo Kiev are rooted with five points but still have a chance to qualify to the knockout stages.

Total Dominance

Barcelona never seemed threatened by the Italian champions throughout the game, especially in the first period when the hosts scored both goals.

International defender Pique opened the scoring after just ten minutes when he side-footed Thierry Henry's flick from inside the area.

In the 26th minute, Pedro doubled the lead after a fantastic blitz that saw Xavi releasing Daniel Alves down the right-flank.

The Brazilian swung a perfectly-weighed cross inside the area for Pedro to send home with a first-timer despite a hopeless attempt from Inter keeper Julio Cesar.
