Stuttgart coach Markus Babbel is relieved that his side kept alive their hopes of reaching the Champions League knockout phase.

The Germans claimed a 2-0 victory at Scotland's Rangers in Group G on Tuesday to make sure a last-16 ticket is still be up for grabs.

With Spain's Sevilla ensuring their progress, Stuttgart will vie with Romanian side Unirea Urziceni, who have a two-point lead over Babbel's side, for a spot in the next round.

"The good thing is that we have qualified for the Europa League and we will have a chance at home against Unirea," Babbel told Sky Sports.

"If we win that game we will have qualified for the knockout stages of the Champions League."

Stuttgart face Urziceni at VFB Arena on December 9.
