Manchester United striker Michael Owen revived his glorious days and hit a hat-trick to help the Premier league champions oust Wolfsburg with a 3-1 victory in the UEFA Champions League.

The former Liverpool superstar opened the scoring on the stroke of halftime, before United's slender lead was cancelled out four minutes from the hour mark, thanks to a Dzeko own-goal.

But Owen restored United's one-goal advantage seven minutes from time, before completing a treble of goals in the dying minutes.

The Red Devils, who were already through, are now Group B leaders with 13 points.

In the same group, CSKA Moscow booked the second ticket by defeating Besiktas 2-1.

Milos Krasic opened the scoring on 41 minutes, and the visitors kept their lead for a long while.

The last ten minutes were evidently dramatic, as Besiktas' Bobo leveled the score on 86 minutes and Evgeni Aldonin hit a last-minute winner for the Russian side to give them a precious victory.
