Chelsea dropped their first home points of the season after a thrilling 3-3 draw with Everton at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League on Saturday.

The Blues conceded just once at home before hosting Everton, who took a surprising lead after 12 minutes when a Louis Saha header rebounded off the post and back into the net off the body of keeper Petr Cech.

In-form Ivorian striker Didier Drogba leveled the score just six minutes later with a superb first-time shot from inside the area after Frank Lampard played him in.

His strike partner Nicolas Anelka put Chelsea in front on 23 minutes with a close-range shot after a corner.

Everton substitute Yakubu restored parity on the stroke of halftime after a goal-mouth scramble but Drogba gave Chelsea another lead on 59 minutes to take his tally to 13 goals.

The 31-year-old superbly volleyed home Branislav Ivanovic's right-wing cross as the match looked to have swung in Chelsea's favor.

However, French striker Saha secured a share of spoils three minutes past the hour mark when Drogba's attempted clearing header from a free kick rebounded off him and past Cech.

Chelsea remain on top with 37 points, three ahead of second-placed Manchester United who lost 1-0 at home to Aston Villa later in the day.
