Ismaili chairman Nasr Aboul-Hassan refuted talks linking playmaker Abdullah Al-Saied with a move to Ahli, expressing his frustration with the false rumors.
"Ahli have shown no interest whatsoever in Al-Saied," Aboul-Hassan told FilGoal.com on Wednesday.
"People spreading these lies intend to damage the fine relationship that was established between the two clubs recently."
The rumor linking Al-Saied with Ahli spread over Ismailia via cell-phone messages after the recent 1-1 draw, according to FilGoal's correspondent in the coastal city.
The relationship between Ismaili and Ahli has gone beyond rivalry in recent years, with the latter signing a number of former Dervishes stars.
However, both clubs' presidents made cooperative approaches in an attempt to clear the air between the supporters of the bitter rivals.
