Ahli unsettled trio set for African competitions

Ahli coach Hossam Al-Badri named Mohamed Barakat, Emad Meteb and Ahmed Al-Sayed in the team's roster for continental competitions, although the trio's contracts haven't been renewed yet.

The Red Devils have wrapped up new deals for the majority of their key figures, except for the trio whose future is still hanging in the balance.

Striker Meteb, midfielder Barakat and defender Al-Sayed will all see out their current contracts by the end of the ongoing season.

The 27-man list also includes newly-signed Sherif Ekrami along with his fellow goalies Ahmed Adel and Ramzi Saleh.

Hussein Yasser, who has recently revealed his intention of moving away from Ahli, was also picked, according to the Cairo club's official website.

Want-out Algerian youngster Amir Sayoud was expectedly left out.

Defenders: Wael Gomaa – Ahmed Al-Sayed – Sherif Abdul-Fadil – Mohamed Samir.

Midfielders: Sayed Moawaad – Gilberto – Ahmed Fathi – Ahmed Ali – Hossam Ashour – Mostafa Shebeita – Abdullah Farouk – Mohamed Abou-Treika – Ahmed Hassan – Shehab Mohamed – Hussein Yasser – Mohamed Barakat – Ahmed Shokri.

Strikers: Mohamed Fadl – Emad Meteb – Hani Al-Egeizi - Francis Doe – Osama Hosni – Ahmed Belal – Mohamed Talaat.
