"Al-Hadari told me that he wants to move to Al-Merreikh," Aboul-Hassan told FilGoal.com.
"Al-Merreikh are yet to table an offer but they unofficially contacted me to enquire about Al-Hadari's availability."
The Egyptian international, who is widely considered as the best keeper in the country's history, joined Ismaili in the close season after ending a 17-month spell with Swiss side Sion.
He relatively managed to maintain his assured displays between the sticks but expressed his concerns over Ismaili's unconvincing start to the season.
The Dervishes, last season's runners-up, are seven points behind leaders and defending champions Ahli at the halfway stage of the season.
Al-Hadari, who still has two years to run on his contract, is now looking to reach an agreement with Ismaili to terminate his deal and join Al-Merreikh as a free agent.
"All options are on the table. The club's board of directors will soon make a decision over Al-Hadari's request," Aboul-Hassan added.
The 36-year-old is awaiting the verdict of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in his infamous transfer dispute with former club Ahli.
He was initially handed a four-month ban and a 900,000 euro fine for breaching his contract with the Red Devils in February 2008, few days after helping Egypt win a record-extending sixth Nations Cup title.
The sanction was later frozen by CAS upon his appeal.
