Tens of Zamalek's ardent supporters gathered in front of the Egyptian FA headquarters on Wednesday to protest against their decision on the infamous Harras Hodoud saga.
The EFA upheld Hodoud's 2-1 league victory over Zamalek, although the Alexandrian club fielded an ineligible player.
While being surrounded by police forces, the aggressive protestors hurled insults against the EFA members and threw some stones at the football governing body's premises.
Later on, the EFA launched into a furious tirade against Abbas, accusing him of causing some 'suspicious-looking' fans to attack the EFA.
"The majority of the suspicious-looking individuals who attacked the EFA headquarters were paid to do so," an EFA statement read.
"Such misconducts could well be met with harsh sanctions, so we would like to call on all Egyptian fans not to cross the line.
"Zamalek's criticism of the EFA after Hodoud's victory was upheld inflamed the fans' feelings and resulted in that demonstration.
"The competitions committee members have all resigned, but that wasn't enough for Zamalek's officials and the club president insulted the EFA in an unprecedented manner.
"This kind of behavior will never be tolerated."
Last month, a furious Abbas branded the EFA's officials as 'rats' during a news conference, saying they are all way incompetent.
