Petrojet assistant coach Hani Al-Okabi denied that playmaker Walid Soliman was seeking to move away from the petroleum club this winter.
"Soliman and his teammate Mohamed Shaban have got back to Petrojet after they were excluded from Egypt's squad for the African Cup of Nations (CAN)," Al-Okabi told FilGoal.com.
"They are both having some rest, but what has been said about their imminent departure is not true."
Soliman and Shaban were both called up to Egypt's provisional squad of late, but they were omitted from the final list.
Several reports suggested that the duo were planning to leave Petrojet in the January transfer window.
Soliman spent the second half of last season at Ahli Jeddah on a loan basis.
