Zamalek will not be able to play their scheduled friendly against Werder Bremen in the United Arab Emirates after some of their players failed to gain permission to leave Egypt.

Seven players, including midfield duo Hassan Mostafa and Ahmed Abdul-Raouf, will not be able to travel to the UAE due to military service commitment, Zamalek administrator Walid Badr told FilGoal.com.

Zamalek were due to face German side Bremen on Friday as part of their mid-season training camp.

The club will instead hold the camp in an Egyptian coastal city, which is yet to be determined, according to Badr.

The White Knights finished the first half of the season in fifth place in the Egyptian Premier League.
