The Zamalek keeper was called up to the African champions' CAN squad, and he's expected to play second fiddle for first-choice guardian Essam Al-Hadari.

Al-Sayed assured that he doesn't mind being confined to the bench during the biennial competition, saying only one goalkeeper should play regularly.

"Fielding a single keeper all the way is better than applying a policy of rotation, even if the other keeper is as competent as the regular one," he told Modern TV. "I wish Al-Hadari good luck."

Egypt have claimed back-to-back nations cup titles in 2006 and 2008, and they will be the first team to win the continental competition three times on the trot should they win the 2010 edition.
