"I´m home again. Dortmund is my home," Zidan was quoted as saying by Dortmund's official site after arriving in Germany.

"My team-mates sent me countless text messages to wish me luck and that has impressed me very, very much.

"I can't wait to get going again. I'm full of joy, full of motivation, full of confidence and full of energy."

Zidan played a pivotal role helping Egypt retain their continental title, once again setting the winning goal in the final match.

The skilful forward, who set up Mohamed Abou-Treika's winner against Cameroon two years ago, made a wonderful one-two move with goal hero Mohamed Nagi 'Geddo' to down Ghana in Luanda on Sunday.

"We were two against four. I slid the ball past three defenders right into the path of Geddo. One contact. Shot. Goal!" explained Zidan.
