Bayern Munich snatched a last-gasp 2-1 victory over Fiorentina Wednesday at Allianz Arena in the UEFA Champions league round of 16, thanks to a dubious Miroslav Klose strike.
Arjen Robben opened the scoring on the stroke of halftime upon converting a spot kick, but Per Kroldrup canceled out the Bavarians' slender lead five minutes past the interval.
The hosts took a stranglehold on the match till Klose headed into an empty net only one minute from time.
The television replay showed that Klose's winner should have been disallowed for offside.
Bayern and Fiorentina will face each other again in the second leg on March 9th.
