Ibrahim was involved in the post-match scuffle that eventually saw Zamalek playmaker Alaa Ali, wing-back Hazem Emam and football director Ibrahim Hassan substantially punished.
Zamalek hit out at the EFA 'for turning a blind eye toward Ibrahim's actions which provoked the players' but the disciplinary committee quickly sanctioned him.
Ibrahim apparently raised his middle finger while walking off the pitch at Cairo Stadium. However, Television replays were inconclusive.
"After reviewing the referee's report and the video footage, the disciplinary committee decided to ban Ibrahim until the end of the season," read a statement on the EFA's official website.
"He made insulting gestures that provoked the home crowd during Wednesday's game."
Police head coach Talaat Youssef, who branded the unfortunate incidents 'inexplicable', said the sanction was expected.
"We were waiting for that announcement because the EFA sought to even matters up," he told FilGoal.com.
"They punished Mohamed Ibrahim because they punished Zamalek's Ibrahim Hassan."
