With around six weeks left in the season, Roma are topping the league table with 68, one ahead of defending champions Inter Milan.

Maintaining the lead will be a tough task, Pizarro said.

"To keep up this kind of form is very difficult and no one will give out anything to us until the end," the playmaker told Roma Channel.

"But the important thing was to move top and now it’s all in our hands. We must become aware that we are in first place.

"We are leading the way, and the most difficult part lies ahead for us.

"We are top now, but who knows where we’ll be next. Still, we are in control of our own destiny."
