Ashraf has been linked with a move to the Petroleum side of late, although Zamalek's football director Ibrahim Hassan assured that the former Ahli youngster would stay put.
But the 23-year-old eventually confirmed that a summer move with Petrojet is on the cards, saying he's looking to play regular first-team football.
"Some officials from Petrojet contacted me," Ashraf told FilGoal.com. "They wanted to know whether I would like to join them next season.
"I don't feature for Zamalek on a regular basis and that's why I considering leaving.
"But I'm not in a hurry. I will wait till the end of the season and then decide on my future."
Ashraf, who joined Zamalek from their arch-rivals Ahli in 2007, failed to establish himself as a regular starter over the past three years. He scored four goals this season.
Zamalek coach Hossam Hassan usually relies on Ahmed Gafaar as a lone striker.
Ashraf's hopes to increase his appearances were also dented after Amr Zaki's return to the Cairo club.
