The London side are set to offer the German ace, whose contract with the Blues expires next month, a new deal.

However, Ballack didn't rule out the possibility of leaving Chelsea in the close season.

"After the season, we are definitely going to hold talks with the (Chelsea) decision makers and then we will see where things go from there," he told German radio station WDR.

"My primary aim is to stay in the Premier League."
