Mohamed Fadl's crucial header against Ittihad Tripoli could be a turning point in the striker's future with Ahli.

The 29-year-old has been unhappy with the lack of first-team football recently and a summer exit was reportedly suggested.

However, Fadl said the case has been closed after Sunday's CAF Champions League victory over the Libyans, where he headed in the second in a 3-0 win.

"This goal is a gift from God after a very difficult period. I hope it's over now after Sunday's game," the Egypt international told FilGoal.com.

"I always respect the manager's decisions, but lately I felt I may be unable to help the club anymore.

"Coach Hossam Al-Badri promised me he would give me a chance, and big players like Ahmed Hassan and Mohamed Abou-Treika told me to patient.

"That’s why I am not thinking about leaving the club anymore."

Fadl, who emerged through Ahli's youth ranks, rejoined his old club on a free transfer from Ismaili last summer.

The lanky striker scored four league goals for the Egyptian champions so far this season, plus his vital strike against Ittihad.
