Ismaili have expressed their dismay over the sanctions imposed by the Egyptian FA against them, following Saturday's cup win over Ittihad.

Striker Ahmed Ali has been banned for one match, along with assistant manager Ashraf Khedr, while the club were fined EGP 15,000 for protesting against referee Fahim Omar.

But the Dervishes have hardly accepted the decisions of the Egyptian football governing body ahead of Wednesday's semi-final clash with Harras Hodoud.

"We reject the inexplicable decisions of the FA, this is clear prejudice against Ismaili," club spokesman Alaa Wahid told FilGoal.com.

"How come the FA takes action against us before even responding to our complaint against the referee.

"Ahmed Ali was punished on video evidence, even though the FA said before that it wouldn’t be used as a basis for decisions."
