Dirk Kuyt opened the scoring on the half-hour mark before Rafael van der Vaart doubled Holland's lead on 72 minutes.

Asamoah Gyan pulled one back six minutes later but Ghana became down by three goals when Wesley Sneijder Robin van Persie scored one each in the last ten minutes.

Many of the Ghanaian players who were named for the World Cup took part in the game, as the Black Stars made six substitutions after the interval.
