The Belgian side, who have been chasing Shikabala over the past weeks, offered to land the 24-year-old for € three million on Tuesday.

But hours later, Zamalek expressed their dissatisfaction over Anderlecht's bid, saying the suggested transfer fee is not up to par.

"The offer is not good enough, given the player's capabilities," Zamalek's board member Raouf Gasser told FilGoal.com.

"They offered some promising contractual terms but they have to pay more money to complete the deal.

"We informed Anderlecht of our financial demands and they should reply to us within the next few days."
