Zamalek are seeking to swap their defender Hani Saied for his Masri namesake starting next season.

"Zamalek called me three weeks ago and offered to land me," Masri's Hani Saied told FilGoal.com. "They contacted my club on Saturday too.

"I have a release clause of EGP 0.5 million on my contract with Masri but I won't invoke it because I have a good relationship with the Port Said club.

"I've asked for their permission and they are yet to reply."

FilGoal.com learnt that Zamalek are planning to land the former Harras Hodoud center-back on a part-exchange deal that will see their outcast Saied move in the opposite direction.

Egypt defender Saied, who joined Zamalek from Ismaili in the summer of 2008, was a regular starter during his first season with the White Knights.

However, he lost his starting berth after Hossam Hassan took charge of the Cairo giants midway through last season.

In the close season, highly-rated coach Hassan revealed his intention of dispensing with Saied and several other players.

Shortly afterwards, Ismaili approached Zamalek in an attempt to bring back the 30-year-old.
