Ahli football director Hadi Khashaba called on new signing Mohamed Nagi 'Geddo' not to be distracted by his suspended ban.

The latest episode of the infamous transfer saga saw Zamalek take legal actions against the new Ahli recruit, claiming he had signed a contract with them before leaving Ittihad this summer.

Consequently, the FA imposed a short-term suspension on the Egypt forward and an investigation is to get underway in the near future.

Geddo is eligible to play for Ahli in the Egyptian Super Cup on August 25th as he will be questioned long before that date.

"Ahli signed Geddo through legal avenues," Khashaba said to Ahli's official website. "Otherwise, we wouldn't have been able to include him in our local and African rosters.

"We have great faith in him and in return, he needs to concentrate on his career and live up to expectations."
