It was suggested that the England ace might carry on his career away from Anfield starting this summer.
However, one-club man Gerrard put an end to speculation over his future by pledging his future to Liverpool.
The 30-year-old midfielder also assured that he wants to work with new Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson.
"I wanted the chance to meet Roy Hodgson privately and having done so I'm very impressed with his plans for the future of the team," Gerrard told his club's website.
"I've only returned to training today at Melwood with some of the other World Cup players, but I can't wait for the new season to start."
