Ismaili new striker Ndubuisi Godwin hopes to make the impact that would take him to Europe through the Egyptian Premier League.

The 26-year-old Nigerian joined the Dervishes in a late close-season deal last week, moving from Libyan side Nasr.

During his earlier tenure in Sudan, where he dazzled for Hilal, Godwin caught the eye of Egypt's top duo Ahli and Zamalek but now he is ready to make his mark with Ismaili.

"The league in Egypt is strong and I hope it would be my gate to Europe," Godwin told FilGoal.com.

"I am looking forward to rediscovering my form and I hope to replicate the performances I produced during my Hilal days."

Godwin is expected to face tough competition for a first-team place, following the recent arrivals of Mostafa Gaafar and Abdessalam Benjelloun.
