Ahli said on their official site that they received a notification from the stadium's management on Tuesday, stating the venue will not be hosting the all-Egyptian match.

Ahli have yet to pay costs of damages caused by their fans for the matches of last season.

Meanwhile, the Cairo club said it hoped for a friendly solution to the problem before the vital match; their first home game in the group stage.

The club said they were late in payment due to their financial commitments with the Egyptian FA, regarding the violent behavior of fans as well.
