Standard face Zulte Waregem on Friday, but Meteb, who recently signed, seems to be struggling to make the game.

"He will have a special training program with the medical staff and fitness coach for ten days. After that he will resume full training," agent Nader Shawki told FilGoal.com.

"He is still struggling with that back injury he sustained last season, so the manager preferred to give him more time."

Meteb missed two months of last season due to a back problem sustained in a 3-3 Cairo derby draw with Zamalek, against whom he scored twice.

The 27-year-old remains doubtful for Standard's second league clash with Egyptian-owned Lierse on August 7th.
