Gaish's AWOL striker Mikael Dodzi Dogbe faces 'heavy punishments', the team's coach Farouk Gaafar said.

The Togolese frontman missed Gaish's pre-season training camp without permission to infuriate the club.

"We are still waiting for the player's arrival, we want to know the reasons behind his action," Gaafar told FilGoal.com.

"But anyway, he will face heavy punishments when he returns to the club."

The 33-year-old Dogbe, who joined Gaish in 2008, is a key member of the team's squad.

He scored seven Egyptian Premier League goals last season, two behind Gaish's top scorer Talaat Moharam.

Ghanaian marksman Ernest Papa Arko, who also notched seven goals last term, was fined for a late return recently.

Gaish, who finished ninth last season, open their Premier League campaign against Masri on August 6.
