Nine players connected to Lierse will appear at a pre-trial hearing on November 30, a spokeswoman for Belgium's federal prosecutor said on Thursday.

According to a statement released by the prosecutor's office, a total of nine matches were manipulated during the 2004/2005 season.

First-division side St Truiden, second-division side FC Brussels and fourth-tier FCLL are also involved in the probe.

"The investigations have already cleared Lierse of any wrongdoing," Sami, who also owns Egyptian Premier League club Wadi Degla, told FilGoal.com.

"Some ex-Lierse players are being probed but the club have nothing to do with this case."

Sami took charge of Lierse in 2008 and helped them gain first-division promotion this season.

They slumped to a 1-0 defeat at Sint-Truiden in the league opener last Sunday.

"Lierse suffered from many problems before my arrival which affected their run in the second division. The match-fixing problem led to the exit of the previous board of directors."
