Robinson quits England after being recalled

Blackburn Rovers goalkeeper Paul Robinson has announced his international retirement, despite being recalled for a friendly with Hungary this week.

The 30-year-old, who was left out of Fabio Capello's World Cup squad, said he wants to focus on club football as he withdrew from the Hungary match.

The English FA said that no replacement will be called to support Joe Hart and Ben Foster.

Meanwhile, Capello's list included 12 changes to the team who were in South Africa this summer.

The most notable choices were uncapped Arsenal youngsters Kieran Gibbs and Jack Wilshere.
