Zamalek full-back Ahmed Ghanem said he could be sidelined for up to two months with a knee injury, while expressing his dismay with supporters.

"I have been examined by the doctors of the military national team and it seems I have this knee ligament problem once again," the 24-year-old told FilGoal.com.

Ghanem missed several weeks of action last term due to a bruised lateral collateral ligament.

This time he could be out for four to six weeks.

Annoyed

Meanwhile, the combative full-back indicated that he had been treated unfairly by Zamalek fans, who blasted him in the wake of the 2-2 draw at Harras Hodoud.

"I am really annoyed with the supporters' chants against me in training and their claims that I let the team down against Hodoud," he added.

"I think the fans are being extremely unfair toward me."

Despite manager Hossam Hassan's faith in him, Ghanem is usually criticized by Zamalek fans, who mostly believe he is incompetent to fill in the team's right-back position.
