Ribery, who had an injury-ridden campaign last term, is likely to be fit for this season's opener against Fifth Division Windeck in the German Cup on Monday.

"Ribery is doing really well, I have a really good feeling as far as he is concerned," said van Gaal.

"He is really impressing in training, he has already played an hour (in Real Madrid friendly) when we had to wait for two months last season for him to even play that amount."

Bayern already miss influential winger Arjen Robben for the start of the season as the Dutchman has a thigh injury.
