Zamalek coach Hossam Hassan hit out at the sport pundits who question his decisions during matches, in the wake of the Whites' 2-0 league win over Petrojet on Sunday.

"I was heavily criticized after Zamalek's league opener against Harras Hodoud because my team didn't win," the Dean said.

"But today, everyone will praise me for the victory.

"There are too many nonsense talkers in Egypt but I'm used that."

The Cairo giants were close to beating Hodoud in their pervious match but a last-gasp strike from Mohamed Hamed ended the game in a stalemate.

Critics came down hard on Hassan after the match for the substitutions he made in the second half.

The former Egypt skipper substituted influential trio Hussein Yasser, Shikabala and Amr Zaki, which arguably affected his team's firepower.
