Jose Antonio Reyes opened the scoring two minutes past the hour mark from close range after combining with Sergio Aguero.

On 83 minutes, Aguero turned scorer when he connected with a cross from Simao Sabrosa, to ensure the Spanish side's superiority.

Inter's Diego Milito, who had been named the Champions League best player, could have pulled one back two minutes from time but failed to convert a penalty kick.
