Ahli decided to sanction Algerian playmaker Amir Sayoud because he did not get back in training on time after spending a vacation in his homeland, said football director Hadi Khashaba.
"Sayoud hasn't arrived in Cairo on time so he will be handed a punishment pursuant to our regulations," Khashaba told Ahli's official site.
The talented youngster, who will celebrate his 20th birthday by the end of this month, went on vacation right before the Red Devils' home clash with Algeria's JS Kabylie on August 29th.
Kabylie, who held Ahli to a 1-1 draw in the CAF Champions League encounter, were recently seeking to land Sayoud on a loan basis but he turned them down.
