Zamalek striker Amr Zaki has been ruled out of action for up to two weeks for suffering a knee problem in the Whites' friendly with Shams on Thursday.

The robust hitman picked up the injury after colliding with a Shams defender and was taken off as a result.

"Doctors Mostafa Al-Monayeri and Ahmed Abdul-Aziz said I sprained my knee during the game, which caused it to swell up," the robust hitman told FilGoal.com.

"Both doctors said I will be kept on the sidelines from 10 to 15 days. It depends on the influence of the rehabilitation program."

Zamalek don't have any available frontmen in their injury-hit squad for the time being.

Abou Kone is still nursing a shoulder injury while Iraqi international Emad Mohamed fell out with the coaching staff after deciding to leave the Cairo club.

Moreover, Ahmed Gaafar is on international duty with the Egyptian military team. He will return to Zamalek before the restart of the Egyptian Premier League.
