Ahli midfielder Shehab Ahmed sprained his ankle in Tuesday's 1-1 draw with Gouna but was in the mood to crack a joke, saying that he 'must have been given the evil eye'.
"I twisted my ankle during the match," the promising youngster, who hit a sensational equalizer in the Egyptian Premier League game, told FilGoal.com.
"I should undergo an X-ray on Wednesday to determine the full extent of the problem."
Shehab came on as a second-half substitute to elude Gouna's defenders and slot home with a neat low effort from 18 yards.
"I must have been given the evil eye. I was hurt right after scoring the goal," the 20-year-old said in jest.
"I hope I can be fit to play against Ismaili (on November 21st)."
Ahli have a number of players unavailable through injury, including Ahmed Al-Sayed, Ahmed Hassan, Sayed Moawad, Mohamed Abou-Treika, Francis Doe and Mohamed Fadl.
