The Dervishes are seething following their 3-2 Egyptian Premier League defeat by Zamalek earlier this week which witnessed a controversial goal scored by the eventual winners.

The score was 1-1 when Zamalek's towering striker Ahmed Gaafar dinked the ball over Ismaili keeper Mohamed Sobhi to put his side ahead on the stroke of halftime.

Television replays showed that Gaafar was in an offside position when he gathered the ball after defender Mahmoud Fathallah chested it into his path.

"People with loud voice know how to gain their rights and how to influence the referees. This is how it goes here," Aboul-Hassan told FilGoal.com.

Ismaili joined the queue of those who raised their voice against referees, launching an attack on Fahim Omar who officiated at their game away to Zamalek.

They also demanded that the Egyptian FA appoint a foreign referee for their anticipated clash against bitter foes and defending champions Ahli later this month.

"We opted for the foreign referee option to avoid the recurring refereeing mistakes which affect our chances of competing for the league title," Aboul-Hassan added.

"After the Ahli game, we will have our games officiated by Egyptian referees again but if they still make such mistakes we will bring in foreign referees for the rest of our matches."

Ismaili, who last won the league title in 2002, lie ninth in the 16-team table with 13 points from nine games.
