However, they reclaimed their position as the world's 10th-ranked team after Russia, who occupied that spot last month, fell to the 13th place.

Egypt's progress was the only change from the previous month inside the top ten.

The seven-time African champions remained on top of the African teams, seven places above World Cup quarter-finalists Ghana.
