Few minutes before the final whistle of Sunday's match, a host of Ahli spectators jeered the former assistant coach, calling for his departure.

FilGoal.com learnt that Al-Badri informed his men of his decision to leave in the locker room after the match.

It's also understood that he notified football director Hadi Khashaba of his intent to leave. The football committee members will meet on Monday to decide on his future.

Al-Badri has been under fire for quite a while because of the Egyptian champions' lackluster performances and unsatisfying results on all fronts.

Ahli's loss at Ismaili is their first league defeat this season.
