Al-Badri told his players about his decision after the 3-1 defeat as Ahli announced that his resignation was accepted on Monday.
The former defender was heavily jeered by supporters during the game, receiving a clear 'Enough' message from the stands.
He was followed by the whole technical staff, including assistants Alaa Maihoub and Mohamed Youssef.
Ahli's football committee is currently in the process of discussing the future of the first team, with no clear names tipped for the hot seat.
Even so, FilGoal.com understands that Masri coach Mokhtar Mokhtar, Gouna's Anwar Salama and current youth team coach Fathi Mabrouk are among the candidates that could be given the nod on a temporary basis.
Not enough
Al-Badri was promoted to take charge of Ahli at the beginning of last season, following five years of working as an assistant to Portuguese Manuel Jose.
Despite the skeptics, he led Ahli to the Egyptian Premier League title in his first season in charge, as well as winning second place in the cup.
However, the 50-year-old was hardly convincing for the majority of Ahli fans, especially with the team's lackluster performances so far this season.
