Masri have lodged an official complaint to the Egyptian FA against the legality of their 1-0 league defeat to Zamalek.

The Port-Said club claim that Zamalek trio Shikabala, Omar Gaber and match-winner Mohamed Ibrahim shouldn’t have taken part in the match after all being declared injured by their respective national teams.

Shikabala was recalled by the Egypt first team for last week's friendly with Australia, whereas Gaber and Ibrahim were named in the Olympic team's squad for the match against Moldova.

However, the trio ruled themselves out citing injury as the reason, only to appear in Zamalek's win a few days later.

Masri chairman Kamel Abou-Ali vows to take advantage of a FIFA ruling, prohibiting injured players from representing their club within five days of the international match.

"The participation of the trio is against FIFA's regulations and gives us the right to claim the match points," Abou-Ali told FilGoal.com.

"They played with Zamalek after just four days of the Egypt matches, and without an approval from the medical staff of the national teams.

"We are asking the FA to give us the points of the match, or else the matter will be raised to FIFA."
