The former 70s star was named interim coach following the resignation of manager Hossam Al-Badri on Monday.

Speaking at his first press conference, Zizo gave his view about the upcoming phase with the league champions.

"I am not considering promoting youngsters or bringing in new players in the winter break," he said.

"Right now I am focusing on improving the morale of the players, especially the big names.

"Players like Abou-Treika and Mohamed Shawky could be like new signings for us this winter. We also have Emad Meteb coming by January."

Tactics and Al-Badri praise

Zizo did not give a clear indication about his tactical views when asked on which formation will he prefer to apply with the team.

"I am not starting from scratch. We are trying to complete the significant and useful work Al-Badri has started," he added.

"There won't be a significant change in tactics. I am the type of manager who prefers to assess my player's attributes and then put my strategy in accordance.

"Commitment and discipline will be key to the selection of players. I think the best example for this is Hossam Ashour.

"He is a young player, yet he managed to establish his place as a first-team regular throughout the past few years."

Zizo's first test will be against bottom club Smouha on December 2nd, a few days after meeting second-division Fayoum in a friendly on Saturday.
